Common Sense Advisory is an independent Massachusetts-based market research company. We help companies profitably grow their international businesses and gain access to new markets and new customers. We are looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) with less than 5-year selling experience in the translation, localization, interpreting, globalization, and/or internationalization sectors. Experience selling market research is a plus.
The BDM generates new leads and identifies areas of business opportunity for Common Sense Advisory.We are looking for candidates with the following attributes: |

Responsibilities:
|
 |
Identify new business opportunities and generate sales volume with potential clients
|
|
New client acquisition through industry contacts and cold calls
|
 |
Perform full sales function, including pre-sales activities, preparing quotations, as well as negotiation
|
 |
Actively manage and accurately forecast sales pipeline |
|
Use analytical skills to understand the needs of prospects
|
|
Communicate professionally to both internal and external audiences |

Represent Common Sense Advisory at industry events and conferences |
 |
Sell event seats |

|
Requirements:
|
|
Effective organization and time management skills
|
 |
Undergraduate degree or equivalent |
 |
3-5 years of name development and/or sales experience selling to global companies |
 |
Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas |
 |
A genuine interest in business across borders of language and culture |
 |
Foreign languages and/or experience living overseas is a plus |
