Job Title: Research Associate
Location: Headquarters
Reporting to: Senior Analyst
Common
Sense Advisory is an independent Massachusetts-based market research company.
We help companies profitably grow their international businesses and gain
access to new markets and new customers. Our focus is on assisting our clients
to operationalize, benchmark, optimize, and innovate industry best practices in
translation, localization, interpreting, globalization, and
internationalization.
The Research Associate supports analysts in their research work with buyers of language services and language service
providers (LSPs). We are looking for
candidates with the following attributes:
- Professional telephone demeanor
- Strong writing skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Self-motivated
Responsibilities:
- Work with senior analyst(s) on diverse research projects
- Assist with primary research, including conducting phone-based interviews
- Review data sets and create summaries of contents
- Extract relevant data points from reports for marketing, sales, and PR purposes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a major in international business, translation, localization, or a related field.
- Two
years of work experience, preferably in areas related to market
research, academic research, language services, or global business.
- Strong knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.
- A demonstrated interest in business across borders of language and culture.
