Summary
There are many misconceptions about what crowdsourcing can actually deliver when applied to translation. To separate perception from reality, we test-drove more than 100 crowdsourced sites. The results of this research offer insight into the current state of implementation practices, detailed reviews of typical community translation sites, and a summary of the organizing principles and governance models most commonly applied. This report provides an objective perspective on the subject, so that the individuals responsible for choosing whether or how to implement crowdsourced translation can make their decisions with confidence.
