How likely are companies to buy translation services for their global websites and product documentation? How optimistic are language service providers about the demand for their offerings? How have the attitudes and behaviors of these buyers and suppliers changed over time?

In this report, we review the results of an ongoing quarterly survey of the business of supplying translation, localization, interpreting, and related language services. The buyers come from corporations, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The suppliers are language service providers (LSPs). We also cross-tabulate the results of this poll with macroeconomic data from the North Atlantic region, the home of most of our survey respondents.

For the past six years, Common Sense Advisory has conducted quarterly surveys of business confidence in the language services and technology sectors. These demand-side and supply-side polls provide insight into the behaviors, both historical and predictive, of buyers and suppliers.
