Summary
How much should you pay a sales representative or project manager? To help language service providers with this fundamental issue, Common Sense Advisory conducted a large-scale survey of compensation at LSPs in early 2014. In our resulting report, we present the salary and incentive data compiled from 1,257 respondents from 65 countries who work full-time at an LSP (see “The State of Compensation at LSPs: 2014,” May14). How should executives and hiring managers use that information to invest wisely in their staff? This brief addresses how to: 1) develop a hiring and compensation philosophy; and 2) strategically negotiate total rewards packages with employees.
