Just as language service providers used to advertise in the yellow pages, they now feel pressure to communicate via social media platforms. But is it worth it? To answer that question, we combined two streams of research  – one with LSPs, the other with buyers of language services. We analyzed: 1) why LSPs use social media; 2) what the results are; 3) how to design a successful strategy; and 4) whether social media is a requirement for sales success.
