Summary
Until recently, language service providers (LSPs) relied entirely on humans to oversee projects and execute individual tasks, sometimes using software to assist them. Over the last few years, CSA Research has observed a growing number of language businesses based on artificial intelligence (AI) in which there are no project managers (PMs) or the few remaining ones play a modified role.

Organizations that procure language services or develop their own translation or interpreting management platforms should stay current with AI developments and determine how the latest innovations will affect them. In this report, we cover the journey from simple automation to artificial intelligence, the state of automation at LSPs based on responses to our annual global market survey, 12 steps to prepare for project management AI, and how to view AI on your projects.
