While most language service providers have at their core a group of individuals responsible for coordinating jobs, what they call this team and how they organize it varies greatly. CSA Research surveyed more than 250 heads of project management groups to gauge the state of their practice. This report presents data on how LSPs name their production group, to whom it reports in the organization, typical titles for the various positions in the team, common responsibilities by position, average team size, and the role played by telecommuting. We also provide recommendations on how executives and heads of production teams can use this information to benchmark their team setup.
