Many language service providers (LSPs) turn to machine translation (MT) to lower production costs or decrease turnaround times. Meanwhile, buyer demand for more content in more languages - but with flat budgets - increases pressure on LSPs to offer some form of MT. In response, LSPs will: 1) offer a range of MT services; 2) choose the MT software that works for them; 3) recruit an MT workforce; 4) figure out what to pay post-editors; and 5) deal with quality assurance issues.
