Growth in buyer demand for language services dropped slightly in the final quarter of 2004, according to our quarterly poll of the business confidence of suppliers. Our OECD-based methodology recommends waiting for four such samples to analyze the data. However, we decided to compare the results after reading recent U.S. Department of Commerce’s economic data that indicated a weakening economy. Our Q4 respondents saw an overall growth in demand, but less growth than seen in the second and third quarters. The number of people they employed also dropped.
