The 2013 “State of the Industry” Survey is Open!

Common Sense Advisory today launched its annual survey of the global language services market. Now in its eighth year, the survey captures comprehensive data related to language services and technology. Why should you participate?
- Receive a free report. All qualified respondents will receive a copy of the report we published in May of last year, titled “The Language Services Market: 2012.” This report contains detailed information on the language services market by service, geography, supplier size, revenue, and hard-to-find data like number of project managers, salespersons, and other important variables. How do you qualify for the survey? Participants must represent a language service provider (LSP) or technology vendor with two or more employees, and must fill out the survey accurately and completely.
- Qualify for a ranking. Last year, we published a list of the Top 100 global language service providers, along with regional rankings for every part of the world. This year, we are inviting technology vendors to participate in a separate ranking. Also, we plan to expand the ranking to include more vendors than ever before. Last year, LSPs needed approximately US$4 million to qualify for the Top 100 global ranking. Players in some markets, such as Latin America and Africa, required as little as US$0.5 million in order to be considered a leader in their national market.
- Gain insight and visibility. Every year, an increasing number of companies participate in our study and contribute to our knowledge on the industry, its challenges, characteristics, and important trends. Enterprise buyers of language services – that is, customers – turn to Common Sense Advisory’s data when trying to identify key players in the industry. Likewise, members of the media and investors often look at our annual “state of the industry” report.
So, if you provide language services, take the survey now. Your company may qualify for our global or regional rankings. Even if you don’t, you will receive a complimentary copy of the 2012 global market study report within two weeks of completing the survey.
Every year, we’ve expanded the depth of our analysis, providing different kinds of lists – for example, government-focused LSPs versus private sector specialists, and interpreting companies versus translation providers. Our ability to do that depends directly on your participation.
The survey will remain open till April 30th, 2013, but don’t let time slip away. The sooner you take it, the faster you’ll learn if your company is pre-qualified to appear in one or more rankings. Take the survey today!
Questions about how to participate? Go ahead and contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.
