Welcome to TMS Live!

TMS Live! is Common Sense Advisory's new, interactive tool that enables you to quickly identify and compare the translation management system (TMS) options that best meet your requirements. This tool should be used in conjunction with the following reports: “Translation Management Systems for LSPs” (for language service providers) and “How to Select a Translation Management System” (for buyers of language services).

What is it? TMS Live! replaces the TMS Scorecards, which were previously published as PDF files. TMS Live! allows technology vendors to update their scorecards whenever they release new updates to their software. As soon as Common Sense Advisory validates the information submitted and ensures accuracy, the updates are live. This way, you always have access to the most current information.

Why TMS Live!? The interactive user experience makes TMS Live! scorecards more useful. When considering TMS options, the interactive tool helps you zero in on best-fit tools to meet your known requirements. By narrowing down your shortlist to avoid unsuitable systems, you won’t waste time evaluating systems that miss key features you are looking for.

How does it work? TMS Live! tracks the features in a dozen different functional areas commonly found in TMS platforms and assigns feature completeness scores for each area in each platform. As you consider TMS options, use TMS Live! to quickly eliminate systems not suited to your purpose by using the filters included in the left column under Refine your Results. This saves loads of time, allowing you to concentrate on fewer, more appropriate systems during proposal, evaluation, and negotiation phases.

How often is it updated? Each platform scorecard gets updated as vendors inform Common Sense Advisory that new features have been released. You may choose to sort the scorecards on the main page in order of most recent. The Common Sense Advisory Assessment page in the detail view also shows when a particular scorecard was last updated.
