Abstract |
Any organization that operates internationally sooner or later finds itself dealing with multiple languages. Given large domestic populations that speak “foreign” languages in their everyday lives, the multilingual content mandate applies in home markets as well. Whether content gets created in one language and then translated or is written from scratch for each market, most organizations turn to some form of content management system (CMS) to handle authoring, attributing, transforming, publishing, and storing the multilingual assets.
To help enterprises solve the critical challenges of attracting and engaging global audiences, technology vendors must aggressively pursue specialized features for global content management. This report examines the system capabilities required for multilingual content management and the organizational support needed for multiregional deployment.
