Common Sense Advisory, Inc. has seen a dramatic increase in the demand for independent consulting services and research on issues related to website globalization, product and software localization, and translation. To help manage this growth, the Boston-area research and consulting firm has hired Tahar Bouhafs as Chief Executive Officer. In this role, Tahar will be extending the company's leadership in research, consulting, and innovative services for the business globalization, localization, and translation sectors.
Prior to Joining Common Sense Advisory, Tahar was a Strategic Business Consultant for Management Ventures (MVI) a WPP company based in Cambridge, MA. Tahar was a Managing Director with Forrester Research where he served on the executive team and led the company’s international expansion. He was responsible in helping Forrester grow from a small U.S.-centric, privately-held boutique into a US$180 million publicly-traded market leader servicing clients in more than 40 countries. Tahar also spent time as a faculty member in the computer science department at Fitchburg State College and Boston University and as head of planning at SONATRACH and the GTE/SONELEC Turnkey Electronics venture.
Common Sense Advisory’s consulting clients include global companies from the information technology, medical device, telecommunications, consumer goods, and travel industries. “We regularly help companies rationalize their global business requirements; advising them on technology and service offerings,” said Don DePalma, the company’s Chief Research Officer. “Tahar's experience in academia, research, and business development gives Common Sense Advisory a seasoned industry executive capable of managing our surge in business growth and one who is more than capable of taking our organization to the next level."
